ALPHA X to Drive Digital Transformation for Cloud Migration to Enhance Performance and Security
About ALPHA X
ALPHA X is a subsidiary and joint venture company under Millennium Group Corporation (Asia) and Siam Commercial Bank (SCB). ALPHA X Provide a comprehensive array of Information Technology operation, Data Center, Digital Business and Call Center for companies within their group and focuses on automotive retail business.

Navigating ALPHA X Cloud Migration, Security, and Infrastructure Optimization Challenges
ALPHA X operates on-premises IT infrastructure while ensuring compliance with SCB strict security and compliance standards. To avoid heavy capital expenses from upgrading its on-prem security, the company sought a cost-effective, secure cloud solution to manage its data, applications, and workloads.
Key challenges included:
- Security risks in traffic transmission and multi-layered defense (physical, network, application).
- Frequent network disruptions affect daily operations.
- Stringent compliance requirements and the need for robust disaster recovery.
- Dependency on hardware and storage vendors causes critical application disruptions.
- High costs due to underutilized applications and databases running briefly each month.
The Migration of Applications
MSC’s team of certified cloud experts assessed ALPHA X existing loan application environment and designed a comprehensive migration plan. This plan covered the design and implementation of an AWS Landing Zone and a strong security framework to meet compliance and operational requirements.
MSC formulated a migration strategy to Replatform the loan applications and ensure they run optimally in the AWS environment. The following approach was adopted to achieve ALPHA X objectives:
- Cloud Migration: Utilized AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) to perform live migration of on-premises virtual machine workloads to the AWS Cloud. In collaboration with MSC, ALPHA X successfully transitioned its loan application from an on-premises setup to AWS, focusing on disaster recovery, cost optimization, and maintaining high levels of security and compliance.
- Architecture Framework:Implemented the AWS Well-Architected Framework to ensure the environment is secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient across all applications and workloads.
- Security and Compliance: Deployed multi-layered security controls to maintain compliance with ALPHA X regulatory mandates, ensuring a seamless and secure transition from on-premises to the AWS Cloud.
- Infrastructure Setup: MSC designed a practical infrastructure architecture using load balancers and optimized resource allocation, which accelerated the software development lifecycle and improved testing efficiency.
Benefit Achieved:
- Compliance with Industry Standards:
ALPHA X AWS environment was rigorously aligned with recognized cybersecurity and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to best practices in data management and infrastructure security. The environment was made fully CIS-compliant through the implementation of AWS best practices and continuous monitoring. - Enhanced Security Measures:
The introduction of multi-layered security controls, including multi-factor authentication for user access and robust password management, significantly strengthened ALPHA X security posture. Advanced web application firewalls (WAF) provide strong protection against cyber threats such as cross-site scripting (XSS), SQL injection, and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. - Cost Efficiency:
. By adopting cloud-based reserved instances and optimizing database management, ALPHA X achieved substantial cost savings. Automated data backup and lifecycle management further reduced manual effort, improving operational efficiency and scalability.
